This view looks east down the Denver & Rio Grande Western's Royal Gorge/Tennessee Pass line at Canon City, towards Pueblo. In 1996 this line was still heavily used, carrying long unit coal trains as well as mixed freights, but that would change in a little over a year with the Union Pacific takeover.
