Parked at the Wellsville, Addison & Galeton's main yard in Galeton, Pennsylvania is this well-maintained wooden caboose. Also visible are several of the GE center-cabs that made up its motive power fleet before WA&G's acquisition in 1968 of three F7A's from Southern Pacific and this F7B (used only for spare parts due to a bent crankshaft) from Western Pacific.
For many years the WA&G's wood-sided boxcars bearing the slogan "The Sole Leather Line" like this one seen at the extreme left were a familiar sight around the country to railfans otherwise unaware of the line's existence. Needless to say the slogan derived from the presence of several large tanneries along the line.
