A northbound Union Pacific freight has appeared on the connecting link between the former Spokane, Portland & Seattle (right) and Northern Pacific (left) main lines at Marshall, Washington, seen from the Cheney Spokane Road bridge. The paved trail between the connector and the SP&S is the location of the former shared Union Pacific/Milwaukee Road line.
