Judging from the exhaust smoke, this westbound Union Pacific freight has received clearance to enter the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe main at Daggett, California. It will remain on Santa Fe rails until West Riverside on the other side of Cajon Pass, where it will diverge back onto the Union Pacific's own line through Pomona, City of Industry and East Los Angeles.
