As late as 1999 semaphores could still be found on the former Northern Pacific (by now part of Montana Rail Link). This one was on the "low-grade" freight line between De Smet and Paradise, Montana which ran along the Clark Fork River; the location is roughly at the Sanders County line and seen from Montana Highway 135.
