A convenient pedestrian bridge provided this view of the east throat of the former Northern Pacific Missoula, Montana yards. The engine terminal is visible at left, with the former passenger station at right just before the curve. This view looks east towards Garrison. Note the lumber car at left; lumber was a major commodity for the Northern Pacific and still is for current owner Montana Rail Link. Interstate 90 is visible on the hillside at left.
