The effects of the Burlington Northern merger of the previous year can be seen in this view of Amtrak's combined North Coast Hiawatha/Empire Builder at the Milwaukee Road's Western Avenue Station, but at least the two Northern Pacific units on the front retain their original paint (though the Northern Pacific road name and logo are conspicuously missing from the lead unit).
