January 26, 1973
A diesel-powered run heads west for non-electrified territory. The Alco FA-1's were used exclusively as non-powered cab cars by the Long Island Rail Road, with the motive power (often an Alco C420) on the rear leaving Jamaica. Many were later rebuilt to provide head-end power.
