In addition to color position light signals, Brighton Park Crossing featured manually operated semaphores until relatively recently, probably the last remaining examples in the Chicago area. Here the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio main crossed the (from left to right) Pennsylvania, Baltimore & Ohio and Chicago Junction (a subsidiary of the New York Central's Chicago River & Indiana).
