Denver & Rio Grande Western [Southern Pacific]
Pueblo, Colorado (Pueblo Union Station)
June 7, 1996

At one time Pueblo generated a thriving passenger traffic, with passengers to/from the Denver & Rio Grande Western, Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe, Missouri Pacific and Colorado & Southern. By 1996 no passenger trains stopped there, but the station was still well preserved, seen here looking northwest from the Union Avenue bridge. It's easy to tell that almost all of the station trackage has been removed, although apparently space is still reserved for a private former New Haven observation car.
