Durango, Colorado was definitely a town with atmosphere in 1970. Imagine seeing (and hearing) this from your hotel window! This is of course one of the two daily Durango-Silverton round trip excursion trains returning to Durango at the end of the day. This may have been taken from the famed Strater Hotel; if so, that's West 7th Street below.
