Just south of Belden Hill Tunnel on the Delaware & Hudson's Binghamton line is a passing siding, probably quite useful considering the inconvenient combination of a steep grade and a single-track tunnel. Here we see the south end of the siding. Currently all signals are red due to an approaching northbound freight.
