The Delaware & Hudson had a modest engine facility at Binghamton, New York, and in the early seventies it was not particularly hostile to railfans. Here General Electric U-boat no. 702 idles alongside the small roundhouse with a companion. This photo was taken from Abbott Street facing north; today the roundhouse and engine facilities are long gone, although the foundations are still visible in satellite photos. The highway overpass is New York State Route 17.
