There will undoubtably be those who sneer at this shot, taken in the cab of Cass Scenic Railroad Pacific Coast Shay #2, as underexposed and with almost no shadow detail (all true). However, one look into that blazing fire and you'll be lucky to see anything else either, at least for a few seconds.
