Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific
East Joliet, Illinois
June 1, 1973

A wsestbound commuter run approaches East Joliet just before crossing Elgin, Joliet & Eastern rails. The distinctive unit on the front was originally built for the Rocky Mountain Rocket to simplify splitting the train into two sections at Limon, Colorado, one section proceeding to Denver and the other to Colorado Springs. The unit was basically an E6 B unit with a baggage compartment and cab controls added. Only two (750-751) were ever built; this one is no. 750.
