The Rock Island's Burr Oak Yard was located at the southern junction of the main and suburban lines in Blue Island, Illinois. At the far right are cars of the electrified Illinois Central Blue Island commuter branch. One of the Rock's Alco C-415 center-cab switchers is hard at work.
