Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific
Blue Island, Illinois (Vermont Street Station)
May 31, 1973

One of the last Rock Island through passenger trains heads south from the Blue Island Vermont Street Station. The suburban line is on the left, and the end of the Illinois Central electrified Blue Island branch is barely visible past the station to the right of the mainline. One of the new silver and orange IC units is just visible. The beginnings of Burr Oak Yard are just visible in the ujpper left. This is looking northeast from the Western Avenue bridge.
