The Bessemer & Lake Erie's Kremis-Osgood Cutoff was a major engineering feat, bypassing grade crossings in Greenville, Pennsylvania and tortuous running along the Shenango River. This viaduct at Osgood, carrying the "new" main line and spanning the river, the "old" B&LE main, the Erie mainline and the New York Central's Oil City Branch, was the centerpiece of the proiect.
