Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Chicago, Illinois (Twenty-First Street Crossing)
June 3, 1973

With all of the former Santa Fe's passenger trains operated by Amtrak by this time, and Amtrak using Union Station exclusively, a certain amount of juggling was needed to get trains in and out. Here what is probably the Texas Chief is being towed out of Union Station over the former Pennsylvania Chicago River (South Branch) lift bridge and on through 21st Street Crossing.
