Seen from the Interstate 80 elevated rest area (complete with shaded pavilion), a westbound freight descends Echo Canyon with a container train in tow. More evidence of the 1997 acquisition of Southern Pacific is evident in the two units following the lead. The road on the far side of the tracks is Echo Canyon Road.
