River Terminal
Cleveland, Ohio
August 28, 1970

The River Terminal Railroad was another Cleveland-area switching road, originally incorporated as a subsidiary of the Corrigan-McKinney Steel Company, which later became part of Republic Steel. While Republic Steel used its own switchers to handle in-plant moves, River Terminal provided service to interchange points with other Cleveland area railroads, making connections to Warren and Youngstown. Here, seen from the north side of the Clark Avenue bridge, a River Terminal switcher is about to cross the Cuyahoga River on its way to a connection with the Baltimore & Ohio.
