Pittsburgh's Penn Station could be a rather gloomy—even gothic—setting on an overcast, rainy morning. By this time only the Broadway Limited and National Limited still called here, and the latter was not long for this world due to appalling timekeeping and a (not surprisingly) low passenger count.
