A Louisville & Nashville transfer run is pulling a cut of coal hoppers from the Chicago, South Shore & South Bend interchange at State Line Crossing, just over the Illinois border from Hammond, Indiana. For some reason the consist includes both L&N caboose no. 1257 and a Chicago & Eastern Illinois caboose at the far end.
