The Newburgh & South Shore Railroad was a Cleveland area switching road that tied much of the steel industry together. Following the closure of several major steel plants traffic on the road declined, and it ultimately shut down on June 30, 1968 after selling some trackage to the Cuyahoga Valley Railway. The remaining trackage is now owned by Omnitrax.
Here, seen looking south from the Clark Avenue viaduct, is an Erie Lackawanna Alco RS-2 with a short transfer run.
