Big Four (New York Central) [Penn Central]
Cleveland, Ohio (Cloggville)
March 26, 1971

There are (or were) many interesting junctions in Cleveland, Ohio if one knew where to look. In this view of the Cloggville trackage, looking south from West 24th Street, we have the former Big Four Cleveland freight line to the lakefront passing directly below, passing underneath the Nickel Plate Road mainline in the distance. To the immediate right are the Cleveland Union Terminal tracks, by this time dieselized but with catenary supports still in place. Further to the right, on the curving fill, is the Nickel Plate's connector to the CUT tracks, and hidden behind the fill is the Cleveland Rapid Transit's airport line (the inverted-U-shaped catenary supports are just visible).
