Western Pacific

Western Pacific
Weso, Nevada
November 8, 1978

Weso, Nevada is the western end of the shared trackage agreement between the Southern Pacific and Western Pacific, in which eastbound trains across northern Nevada use the Western Pacific main and westbounds use the Southern Pacific. (The other end of the shared trackage is at Alazon, in eastern Nevada). Directly ahead is the Western Pacific main looking east, with the connecting track branching off to the right and the Southern Pacific barely visible at the far right. At this time WP painted its structures in a distinctive light green.
