The North Roeske Avenue bridge straddled the east end of the South Shore's Michigan City yards and engine terminal. Here a trio of GP7's (nos. 5747, 5839 and 5776) shares the yard with "Little Joe" no. 802 and ex-New York Central no. 704. The main line here continues on to South Bend, Indiana; the former Pere Marquette (Chesapeake & Ohio) overpass is barely visible in the distance.
