A closer look at the massive Pennsylvania Railroad lift bridge over the Chicago River (South Branch). Except for Milwaukee Road trains using the north end of Union Station and trains of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, virtually all trains in and out of Union Station used this bridge.
