Rochester's Main Street bridge over the west end of the New York Central's Goodman Street Yard was an endless source of entertainment for a bored college music student away from home. Here a westbound freight approaches, kicking up a modest cloud of snow in the process, while a switcher goes about its business. The small yellow fence at the right marks the end of Circle Street, another excellent vantage point for watching the endless rail traffic.
