Erie [Erie Lackawanna]
Youngstown, Ohio (Himrod Junction)
July 30, 1970

The Erie never actually owned any Fairbanks Morse Train Masters; this one came from the Lackawanna after the Erie Lackawanna merger. Seen from the north side of the Oak Street Bridge in Youngstown, Ohio, this train is heading north from Himrod Junction. The tracks in the background are the New York Central's (Penn Central's) Youngstown-Ashtabula line.

Incidentally, according to a note in the August 1973 issue of Trains, Train Masters were not supposed to be multipled with other diesels due to the TM's walkways being about two feet higher than those of most models.
