Below is a closer look at the Denver & Rio Grande Western's famous "hanging bridge" at the bottom of the Royal Gorge. Not really so much a "bridge" as a support for the track where there was simply no available place for the track between the cliffside and the Arkansas River, it's evident in this view from above why it was necessary. The buildings are the bottom station for the incline railway from the tourist park above. This view is from the suspension bridge.
