Nineteen years later not much has changed at Edwards, Colorado except the color of the diesels, and even that's misleading. Denver & Rio Grande Western has purchased Southern Pacific but has chosen to operate under the (supposedly) better-known road's name. Unfortunately, in a little over a year Union Pacific will consume the D&RGW/SP and then things really will change, including the abandonment of the Tennessee Pass line through here.
