Chicago & Western Indiana

Chicago & Western Indiana
Chicago, Illinois (Pullman Junction)
June 2, 1973

The Chicago & Western Indiana extended about 17 miles north from Dolton Crossing, where it met the Chicago & Eastern Illinois, north through State Line Crossing (where it picked up the Chesapeake & Ohio, Erie, and Monon) and 21st Street Crossing (acquiring trains of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe) to terminate at Dearborn Station. Here at Pullman Junction an Erie Lackawanna freight on C&WI rails curves across the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific before heading south to State Line Junction.
