Belt Railway of Chicago

Belt Railway of Chicago
Chicago, Illinois (Pullman Junction)
June 2, 1973

A Belt Railway of Chicago transfer run has finished its business and is returning through Pullman Junction on joint Chesapeake & Ohio/BRC trackage. Note the crossing gates!

The rails in the foreground lead to the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific's South Chicago yards; the tracks curving across the upper left are Chicago & Western Indiana (near) and Nickel Plate Road (far). At this time there were still several Amtrak Florida trains using the C&WI.
