At Hammond, Indiana the Baltimore & Ohio crossed Hohman Avenue at this grade crossing featuring an elevated crossing watchman's tower in addition to the tiny B&O Hammond station. The gates are down as a transfer run approaches State Line Crossing on the other side of the Indiana/Illinois state line. Today, of course, both the station and watchman's tower are gone.
