A westbound Baltimore & Ohio freight on Baltimore & Ohio Chicago Terminal trackage is about to cross the Chicago & Western Indiana (the continuation of the former Chicago & Eastern Illinois main north into Chicago) at Dolton Crossing, while an eastbound Indiana Harbor Belt transfer run does likewise. Like so many Chicago area junctions there was never a shortage of trains to watch at Dolton.
