Just east of Seligman, on the climb out of Chino Valley, is a short rock cut through a small outcropping on the Santa Fe mainline which provides superb views in both directions, and which for lack of a better name the photographer and his wife chose to dub "Vista Cut." This view from the cut looks east, facing away from Seligman, as a westbound freight fresh from Pan Canyon heads downgrade.
