At West Crookton, Arizona, the "old mainline" that descended a curving, heavily graded line from Crookton to Ash Fork can still be faintly seen diverging through the weeds. This line actually split into two, one of which traversed a short tunnel on its way down. The high speed/low grade Crookton Cutoff is at left in this view looking east.
