The Union Pacific's Coalmont Branch still retained rails and ties in 1997, at least north of the Colorado/Wyoming border. Here it passes beneath Wyoming Highway 230 (the continuation of Colorado State Highway 127 north of the border) but has probably not seen a train in some time. This location is just north of the Colorado/Wyoming border, and faces east.
