The St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County had an involved history, starting as a division of the Portland & Ogdensburg, part of that being sold to the Boston & Maine and operated as the St. Johnsbury & Lake Champlain, and finally ending up in 1948 as the St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County.This photo was taken somewhere between St. Johnsbury and Danbury, Vermont, probably from U.S. Route 2.
