One of the many spectacular stretches of the Denver & Rio Grande Western's now-mothballed Tennessee Pass Line is the stretch between Minturn and Red Cliff, Colorado. Near the abandoned mining town of Gilman the Rio Grande's mainline runs in a deep canyon along the Eagle River.
