Delaware & Hudson
Whitehall, New York
June 5, 1976

Located at the head of Lake Champlain and the northern end of Delaware & Hudson predecessor Rensselaer & Saratoga, Whitehall, New York was an important passenger stop and location of an engine servicing facility, as well as the junction with a branch to Rutland, Vermont today operated by the Vermont Railway. Although at one time the road had railyards stretching several miles to the south along the Champlain Canal, these and the engine servicing facilities were taken out of service in 1983; the road itself became part of Canadian Pacific in 1991.
