Chicago River & Indiana
Chicago, Illinois (Ash Crossing)
July 27, 1971

Ash Crossing is one of the more impressive diamond crossings in the Chicago area. Rails heading away from the camera, from left to right, belong to the Pennsylvania Railroad (Penn Central), Baltimore & Ohio, and Chicago River & Indiana. Crossing from left to right are first the Santa Fe, followed by the Illinois Central. The connecting track running from lower left to upper right connects the Baltimore & Ohio to the Santa Fe.
