Belt Railway of Chicago
Chicago, Illinois (Forest Hill Crossing)
June 18, 1972

In Chicago, transfer runs could be seen going almost everywhere on virtually everyone's rails. This Belt Railway of Chicago transfer run, led by no. 530, is coming off the Baltimore & Ohio connecting track (note the color position light signal) onto home BRC rails at Forest Hill Crossing. The Penn Central's tracks (former Pennsylvania) with a PC transfer caboose can be seen in the background.
